Bride and groom walk the streets of NYC

Erica is giving me serious Kate Middleton vibes with her hair and makeup done to perfection by Amanda Thesen. She and Derek eloped in NYC last month with a low-key but glam City Hall wedding. They got dressed together in their room at the Beekman Hotel, which is the perfect luxurious hotel if you want some old school New York glam for your elopement. It's also very close to City Hall, making the option to walk to get married super easy.

We paused just outside of the Marriage Bureau so George Taxi, the "go-to flower guy for City Hall weddings", could make her a quick peony bouquet. He's the nicest guy and, like me, loves to hear people's stories of where they're from. Derek and Erica are originally from Ashville, NC but now live in local in New York City. George was excited to make a bouquet for someone "from home".

After they were officially married, we took some iconic New York shots on the streets of NYC near the hotel, and I let them go off to have lunch and dinner.
