Kyle and Lindsey traveled from the south to New York City to get married at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. They were SO much fun to work with. So was their family; Lindsey's twin sister was game to be my model for the traditional "take a photo of your number" shot that I like to get for people eloping at City Hall.
After their ceremony, we headed to their hotel, Mondrian Hotel in SoHo. It's fabulous, and I'm going to recommend it to other eloping couples looking for a relaxed, hip place to stay in NYC. The colors were bright and fun, and the staff was helpful in pointing us to places around the hotel we were allowed to take photos. We stopped by their room first to sip champagne, and then wandered around the lobby and two different balconies that overlooked the New York City landscapes. We even found a tractor in the streets of SoHo!
A very, very, very serious conversation was had about whether or not a foot-popping-while-you-kiss photo was "cheesy or sweet". What do you think? I say any excuse to show off fabulous shoes is a good one.
