Michael and Tamara's artistic intimate Brooklyn wedding was held at the Gowanus Ballroom, a venue not typically used for weddings, but one that loaned itself well to their artistic vision of a fun day. They had a traditional Christian ceremony followed by a fantastic dance party. I love that someone got their hands on chalk and decorated the huge doors with lovebirds!
After they walked down the aisle they took a walk around the corner for a bit before we took portraits - something I recommend everyone does. It's so nice to have those first few moments just to yourselves to have a giddy moment/kiss/whatever before plunging into the party. Then they came back glowing and we snapped some shots in the sunset next to the water.
My other recommendation: confetti! It makes for such joyful photos!
