Jen & Vincent – elopement | New York City Elopement Photographer

This was the “speak now, or forever hold your peace” part, and I, the sole witness, did not speak!

An elopement plus a photo shoot in Dumbo for a fun Toronto couple. They came out of the revolving door in the same door section, and spilled onto the sidewalk, newly married and laughing hysterically.

Helen & Duncan – elopement | New York City Elopement Photographer

This lovely couple traveled from England to get married in New York. Even their names are perfectly British, don’t you think?

“I wasn’t going to have flowers, but my friend sent this bouquet to our hotel as a surprise last night.”

Jennifer & Tony – elopement | New York City Elopement Photographer

Jennifer and Tony have got to be one of the most fun couples I’ve photographed on an elopement. She completely tickled me by busing out her funky glasses! (I hunted down a similar pair, and found these on sale at OC Shades for $12. For that price, go ahead and get two colors.)

Ana & Gian – elopement | New York City Elopement Photographer

Listen, I’m aware that the rings-on-hands-with-boquet photo is totally an 80′s throw-back, but I really like it, and I’m going to keep taking it.

LOVED these two and their fun families. Everyone was giddy and joyful on this cold morning. It was a lovely coincidence that Ana’s every day coat is a bridal cream color, so we left it on for outside photos since she was so chilled without it. Her sister drew the line at leg warmers, though.

Jennifer and Tabitha – Elopement | New York City Elopement Photographer

Her face here has to be what Bacharach and David were thinking of when they composed “The Look of Love”. This photo makes me happy every time I look at it.

These two ladies were so sweet, and I was happy to be there to see them married and serve as their witness. Having done this a few times, I snuck them into the chapel where they were getting married before we were specifically told to go in, and this gave them a few moments to stand there at the podium and grin at each other, which is when we all started getting teary-eyed.

It was just dust, I swear.

Cierra & Jenna – Elopement | New York City Elopement Photographer

Cierra (in purple) and Jenna flew from Nevada to New York City to get married and have a honeymoon. Normally I don’t post officiant photos, but this guy? This guy is the best officiant New York City marriage bureau has. He loves marrying people; it shows, and I’m always happy when my clients get him. There are some lovely other officiants, too, don’t get me wrong, but he’s my fave.

After their wedding they went to lunch to celebrate, Jenna called her grandma to tell her the good news, and we all said said “Cheers!” with beers.

Molly+Chris – elopement | New York City Elopement Photographer

Molly and Chris sort-of-eloped to City Hall in Manhattan. I say sort of, because there was a handful of family there to celebrate with them. And it was a lovely wedding – I cried! (I always cry. Don’t worry, I can still operate my camera while sniffing.) Have you ever been to City Hall? So many newly married couples, all tearfully congratulating each other and sharing packages of tissues! It is likely the most joyful place in the entire city. We waited for their number to be called, and then they were married in a short, sweet ceremony presided over by a charming Justice of the Peace who we agreed looked just like Edna Mode from The Incredibles.

After the “grown ups” got into one taxi to go to dinner, Chris and Molly hailed their own cab to the restaurant and immediately started kissing in the back of it.

Perfect.
