Becky and Gary are some of the sweetest people I've photographed. They couldn't bring their cats from England with them to elope in NYC, so they started their wedding ceremony off with a poem about their beloved pets instead.
Their wedding was held in Central Park; Wade Trefethen conducted their wedding ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion. We took portraits in Central Park, then met up with their famileis at the Plaza Hotel for a tea reception. The lobby is stunning, and Becky's Pronovias gown looked absolutely perfect on their steps, and the Plaza's iconic tiled floors.
Wonderful details from this elopement:
- Gary shaded his bride as they walked so she wouldn't get burned in the roasting sun.
- Becky brought a photo of her and her grandfather, who passed away years ago. They were very close while she was growing up. I was delighted to see her love of pretty white dresses has a long history!
- The Plaza Hotel was super nice to us, and didn't mind one bit that we were taking photos in the lobby before they went to their tea reception.
