They met on the first day of college and started dating at the end of freshman year - Stephen asked her out in the library. They became engaged years later, in Paris, at the fountain in from of the Louvre, and chose Lafayette Grand Café, a French restaurant, for their reception. (I asked Laura how fluent she actually was in the language, and she is "nearly native". I have tried to master the language myself and can't quite get my mouth around the vowels, so I'm impressed!)
Two dear friends co-married them in the perfect heart-felt ceremony. Both ordained, they decided who actually got to sign the marriage license with "rock paper scissors", and then snuck off from the party to put the filled out form in the mail together right away.
Fancy hotels are my weakness, and their getting ready spot, 11 Howard in SoHo, was incredibly chic and treated us all so kindly. The rooms and suits feature Society throws in a "11 Howard signature pink" that was a stunning match for Lauren's pink velvet Valentino shoes.
They shared their first look on the balcony of their suite, followed by wedding party photos, before heading to their family's hotel for some family portraits, and a great view of the iconic Empire State Building - perfect for their classic New York City wedding.
Special thanks to Allie Beik of Polka Dot Events for being such a great planner to work with, and for second photographer Lauren Spinelli, who rocked my world with her artistic vision of the day.
