Ellen, Ethan, Lola the French bulldog and I had a wonderful time walking around in the fall leaves taking maternity photos in Park Slope, our shared neighborhood. They live near Café Regular du Nord, a tiny coffee shop tucked on a side street that seems to be lifted right out of a romantic comedy, or maybe Paris, so we took a few photos of them in the chairs outside of it.
Lola and I took to each other immediately; Ellen and Ethan tried to warn me about getting covered in dog hair, but I had already pulled the charming lump of her hilarious, snorting body into my lap, and so spent the rest of the session with my dress lightly dusted in tan hairs. Totally worth it. (As it turned out, Ellen and I both wore knee-length black dresses and tall brown boots, which I took as a good omen).
Ellen and Ethan shared their story of meeting in college, and were happy and excited to welcome their first child - gender unknown - into their home. I can't wait to see what they have!
