We started the day with family photos in Central Park, and then couple photos. Aren't they stunning in their traditional attire? Our portrait session was followed by an afternoon reception for relatives at Indian Accent in Midtown Manhattan. My husband, Marley, served as assistant for this wedding, and the food we had was so incredible we kept swooning and sighing at our table. There was GOLD LEAF on the dessert. We felt fancy.
After the meal, Arjun's mother and sister presented each of the ladies present with a sari from India, as well as a small smudge of yellow and red kumkuma for their necks and foreheads, and his parents gave a warm speech to everyone.
Arjun's father wore a beautiful 200 year old ruby ring from India you see pictured.
