This photographer may or may not have gotten suddenly teary-eyed while taking this photo. Perhaps it was dusty.
Jessica and Vanessa got married at City Hall in New York City, accompanied by parents and their two sons, ages five and three. Weddings with little ones are always so great, and these boys in their matching tiny plaid ties were hilarious and sweet (we could not convince them to keep the ties on for formal portraits - oh well.) They were kept mostly calm with snacks and iPhone games.
The ladies exchanged matching Tiffany's wedding bands and heeded my oft-given advice to let that first "you may now kiss the bride" kiss linger for a minute. It was a good kiss! Immediately after the ceremony they smiled for photos taken by their parents, then tucked down to fold their sons into their arms in a big, spontaneous family hug. What a great moment!
Congratulations Jessica and Vanessa! I wish your family years of happiness.
